This Privacy Policy explains how Kingdom Boxing NZ (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Independent Boxing Samoa mobile application (the “App”).

We collect information you provide and information generated through your use of the App, including:

  • Account information (such as email address, username, or login credentials).
  • Athlete profile and registration details submitted within the App.
  • Photos and media you upload for athlete profiles, cards, or program use.
  • Location data when you enable run tracking or map-based features.
  • Device and usage data, such as device identifiers, app interactions, diagnostics, crash logs, and performance data.
  • Device or other identifiers, including device IDs or advertising identifiers, used for security, analytics, fraud prevention, and service functionality.

2. How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features.
  • Register athletes and manage program participation.
  • Generate athlete cards and display profiles.
  • Enable maps, run tracking, and location-based features when activated.
  • Process payments or subscriptions if enabled.
  • Improve performance, security, reliability, and user experience.
  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Location Data

If you use run tracking or mapping features, the App may collect precise location data while those features are active. If you explicitly enable background tracking, location data may be collected while the App is running in the background. You can revoke or disable location permissions at any time through your device settings.

4. Photos and Media

Photos and media uploaded to the App are stored and used for:

  • Athlete profiles and registration
  • Program administration
  • In-app display and related services

Only upload content you have the legal right to share.

5. Payments

If paid features are enabled, payments are processed through third-party providers such as Google Play Billing or Stripe. We do not store full payment card details. Payment data is handled securely by the payment provider under their own privacy policies.

6. Third-Party Services

The App relies on trusted third-party services to function, including:

  • Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Functions)
  • Google Maps
  • Google Play Billing
  • Stripe (payments)

These providers may process data on our behalf in accordance with their privacy policies.

7. Sharing of Information

We may share information:

  • With service providers who help operate and maintain the App.
  • When required by law, court order, or legal process.
  • To protect the safety, rights, or property of users or the public.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

We do not sell personal data.

8. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide the App and fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer retention period is required by law or regulatory obligations.

9. Your Choices and Rights

You can:

  • Edit or update your profile information within the App.
  • Revoke permissions (such as location or photo access) via device settings.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.

Deletion requests are processed within a reasonable timeframe unless retention is required by law.

10. Children and Young Users

The App is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.

11. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information. However, no system is completely secure, and use of the App is at your own risk.

12. International Use

The App is intended primarily for users in Samoa, New Zealand, and Australia. Data may be processed or stored in other countries where our service providers operate.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or other reasonable means. Continued use of the App means acceptance of the updated Policy.
